Mission:

• Parents for Educational Progress is a civic organization dedicated to keeping Reading parents informed about our public education issues.
  
  
• We believe that our community's greatest asset is our children, and it is our responsibility to provide them with the best public education available.
  
  
• By keeping parents and residents informed, we hope to further excellence in public education in the town of Reading.

Goals:

1. Build a knowledgeable, movable force of parents/residents in the Reading community who are committed to improving public education.
   
   
2. Work to ensure the timely construction of the Sunset Rock elementary school.
   
   
3. Support efforts by the town and other organizations to ensure that Reading Public Schools have the fiscal resources needed to meet our educational goals.
   
   
4. Support the renovation and upgrade of Reading educational facilities.
   
   
5. Establish a forum for building consensus within our extended organization around key educational goals for the future.
